SOCCER: Lady Generals advance to second round

Senior Stephanie Shipley led Heritage to a 4-0 win over visiting Johnson on Friday in the first round of the Georgia Class AAA State Playoffs.

The midfielder and team captain scored two goals to help the second-year program advance to the second-round of the playoffs.

Emily Rebne and Elizabeth Phelps had the other two points for Heritage.

The Generals travel to Oconee County this week for the second round of the state playoffs.
