Riley Sparks followed up three consecutive walks by LaFayette starter Tripp White with a bases-clearing double to stake the Generals (11-6, 4-3) to a 3-0 lead.
But White settled down over the next six innings, giving up just three more hits and not allowing a single Heritage runner to get past second base.
Meanwhile the Rambler offense would get rolling in the bottom of the second inning as they tied the game with a three-spot of their own. They collected a solo run in the third on Scott Bell's first homerun of the season and added one final insurance run in the fifth on a single by MacKenzie Kelehear.
Kelehear finished the day 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs while Bell also collected two RBIs. Bowe Coffman and Josh Morgan had two hits each in LaFayette's 10-hit outburst.
White got the win, striking out seven batters on the afternoon.
Sparks took the loss for Heritage.
LaFayette (6-12, 3-5) will travel to Cedartown today for another huge region game at 5:55 p.m.
