The Sonoraville girls kept control of the ball the entire game and had 31 shots on goal in the first half and 20 shots and five goals second half.
“We played well as a team but got down on ourselves first half, when our first couple of shots didn’t go in the goal,” said SHS coach Kristen McGuire.
The girls regained their mental focus and momentum after half time with two goals by Senior Hannah Nix, two goals by Freshmen India Langford (one off a penalty kick on a foul in the box), and one goal by Payton Smith.
