Lady SHS Phoenix win over Chattooga

On Wednesday the Sonoraville Lady Phoenix Soccer Team took on the Chattooga Indians.

The Lady Phoenix Team controlled the first half of the ball game with eight shots versus two by Chattooga.

Sue Hurst, India Langford, and Samantha Young all added goals in the first half.

Chattooga came out more determined second half and picked up the pace, adding two goals of there own.

The Lady Phoenix Team continued to hold their own defensively with six saves by Araceli Macias and offensively with 12 shots. The final score ended 3-2, Phoenix.

“Our win tonight was a team effort. I am proud of the girls adding another region win to their season,” said soccer coach Kristen McGuire.

The Lady Phoenix play Cedartown today at Cedartown at 5 p.m.
