The game was a tight one throughout. Tied 24-24 at halftime, LaFayette forged a 39-38 lead after three quarters, but found themselves tied at 51 with 40 seconds to go.
But Brittany Stallings hit a pair of free throws to put the Lady Ramblers up two, then Emily White came up with a steal on the ensuing Ringgold possession before finding a streaking Kelsey Byrd for a run-out lay-up to seal the win.
Byrd finished the game with a game-high 30 points, giving the junior 55 over her last two games.
"Kelsey is playing well," LaFayette head coach Matt Swanson said. "She's always been a good offensive player, but she's picked up her defensive intensity lately, and that's led to more points."
Bailey Clements added nine in the win, which improved LaFayette to 13-5 overall and 5-2 in Region 6-AAA North.
"We haven't been looking at our record," Swanson added. "We've been trying to just take the season game-by-game. All you can ask for is chance to win every night out and so far we've been giving ourselves a chance to do that."
Danielle Sisk paced the Lady Tigers with 12 points while Megan Crawford chipped in with 10.
LaFayette will continue the Region 6-AAA North slate at Ridgeland on Friday.
