Sonoraville girls survive game with LaFayette

The Sonoraville Lady Phoenix won 73-64 and got a non-region home victory over Lafayette thanks to clutch free-throw shooting down the stretch.

Noelle Defoor led Sonoraville (2-0) with 22 points, and Berkley Potts added 13 in the win.

Sonoraville trailed 16-12 after after the first quarter but rallied to lead by seven at the half.

The Lady Phoenix finished 19-29 from the free-throw line including several makes in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
