Nash Nance, Calhoun
Rashad Ramsey, Chattooga
Calhoun’s Nance and Chattooga’s Rasmey, both senior quarterbacks, led their teams to important region wins.
Nance completed 17-of-23 passes for 202 yards and a pair of touchdowns as the top-ranked Jackets flew past Dade County, 41-7.
Ramsey accounted for five touchdowns — four passing, one rushing — in Chattooga’s 41-21 win over Gordon Central. Ramsey completed 8-of-10 passes for 206 yards.
DEFENSE
Dennis Noles
Armuchee
Noles, a senior, returned an interception 35 yards for a touchdown and helped spearhead a dominating defensive effort by the Indians during a 49-12 victory at Temple. The win allowed Armuchee to stay unbeaten in Region 7-AA.
