The LaFayette Ramblers defeated Central, Carroll on Saturday by a count of 9-4.

That win, combined with Carrollton's 12-2 victory over Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, gives the Ramblers (18-6, 10-4) the third seed out of Region 6 for the upcoming Class AAA state playoffs next week.

LFO will be the No. 4 seed after finishing with a 9-5 region record. Cartersville (14-0) and Carrollton (12-2) will be the top two seeds and will host the first round of the state playoffs.

LaFayette's first-round opponent will be St. Pius X, the No. 2 seed from Region 5-AAA. A doubleheader will be played on Friday at Oglethorpe University with a third game, if necessary, to be played on Saturday.

Other first-round series involving Region 6-AAA teams has Cartersville hosting Druid Hills and Carrollton hosting Dunwoody while LFO will travel to Riverwood.
