Continuing their dominating season, the Jackets posted another shutout, rolling past Adairsville 9-0 in a 7-AA match.
Francisco Lopez, Michael Butler and Greg Moyer all scored two goals in the win. Calhoun also got goals from Miguel Moreno, Javier Salazar and Collin French. The win brings the Jackets’ record to 12-0.
The team will play its last subregion match today at Chattooga. The Jackets will then host Armuchee on Friday.

Darlington boys golf wins
The Darlington boys golf team overcame soggy conditions to take a tri-match on Tuesday at Coosa Country Club over Carrolton and Cartersville.
The Tigers shot a team low four-man score of 150. The low man for Darlington was Will Jones, who fired a 36. Following him were Hunter Brooks (37), Jack Yancey (38) and Jim Mathews (39).
Not included in the four-man score but still recording impressive rounds were Darlington’s Sneh Patel, who shot a 39 and Taylor Winn, recording a 40.
Carrolton shot a 166 as a team, with low man Grant Parian carding a 38. Cartersville finished third with a 175 as a team. Jack Howard shot a 40 for the Purple Hurricanes.
Darlington’s next match will be Thursday against Trion at Coosa Country Club.
Darlington girls lacrosse drops match to Pope
The Darlington girls lacrosse team suffered a 13-2 loss to Pope.
Erin Ables scored both goals for the Lady Tigers in the loss, which dropped the team’s record to 2-7-1 overall and 0-3-1 in the area.
Darlington travels to North Cobb today.
Darlington girls shut out Excel
The Darlington girls soccer team defeated Excel 4-0.
Costanza Ospina led the Lady Tigers with two goals in the win. Anna Shea and Carley Weed chipped in with a goal apiece.
Darlington goalkeeper Anna Scoccimaro recorded seven saves in the shutout that brought the team’s record to 5-2 overall and 2-0 in the region.
The Lady Tigers resume their schedule today when they travel to play at Model.
Sonoraville boys soccer falls to
Gordon Central
Gordon Central built a 4-2 lead at the end of the first half and then held off Sonoraville’s second-half comeback bid in a 6-4 win over the Phoenix.
Orane Foster, Cody Patterson, Juan Hernandez and Fabian Hernandez scored for Sonoraville (1-12, 1-4), which visits Rockmart on Thursday.
Darlington boys tennis defeats Dalton
The Darlington boys tennis team got a win over Dalton on Monday.
The Tigers took the home match 4-1 over the visiting Catamounts. The only win for Dalton came at No. 3 singles where Hunter Carson took the match, 6-3, 6-2.
At No. 1 singles, Darlington’s Rea Law won 6-0, 6-1. Preston Cobb was victorious at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles action, the team of Dent Law and Jason Lu took the No. 1 doubles match, 6-4, 6-2. Darlington’s Keenan Freyberg and Yumihito Takimoto won at No. 2 doubles, 6-3, 6-2.
The win brings the Tigers’ record to 5-4 overall and 3-0 in the region. Tuesday’s match at Holy Innocents was cancelled due to rain. Darlington hosts Walker on Thursday.
