Home or road, it doesn’t really matter.

The Model girls just keep rolling, regardless of the venue.

The No. 2-ranked Lady Devils improved to 23-0 on Tuesday by sailing past host Temple, 67-28, in a 7-AA South game.

Joy Hoskins scored a team-high 10 points for Model, which led 39-14 at the half and breezed from there. The victory pushed Model to 9-0 in the subregion.

“I thought our girls came in focused and we did what we’ve done all season,” said Model coach Sally Echols. “Defensively, we played really well, and offensively, we were very unselfish. … I was very proud of the road win.”

A total of ten players scored for Model. Shelby Farrer finished with nine points, and three players — Janaye Jasper, Lauren Shields and Alex Patton — added eight each.

The Lady Devils host rival Armuchee on Friday in a crucial 7-AA South game. With a win, Model would gain the top seed for the region tourney. If Armuchee (22-2, 8-1) wins, the top seed would be determined by coin flip at a coaches’ meeting on Sunday.
