The Georgia High School Association will allow high schools to start practicing on Aug. 1, but Loudermilk said with that being on a Saturday he has decided to wait until Monday to start.
According to the fourth-year taskmaster, Cedartown has had a good summer.
“Things have went pretty good,” Loudermilk said about workouts and passing leagues. “We’ve thrown a lot. We were in a big passing league this summer with eight schools and we were able to get a lot of reps in during that time.”
Loudermilk said the Bulldogs are averaging about 34 kids at workouts and passing league games.
“The kids are working hard,” Loudermilk said.
The Bulldogs will begin practicing on Aug. 3 and on Aug. 14 they will host Darlington in a scrimmage game.
Cedartown will then practice two more weeks before kicking off the regular season at home on Aug. 28 against Rockmart.
