Sophomore quarterback Josh Morgan completed 14-of-18 passes for 280 yards and five touchdowns as the LaFayette Ramblers opened up a 40-0 halftime lead en route to a 54-3 Homecoming victory.

The Ramblers (4-2, 2-0) led 28-0 after one quarter. Morgan threw a 45-yard scoring pass to Dimitri Miles, a 46-yard touchdown pass to Sid Forrester and a nine-yard scoring strike to Tyler Burse. Dustin Quinn added a five-yard scoring run.

A 22-yard catch by Bowe Coffman made it 34-0 in the second quarter and Chris Dean's 14-yard run ended the first half scoring.

The Generals (0-6, 0-2) got a field goal to open the second half, but the Ramblers quickly answered with a 26-yard touchdown catch by Miles.

Josh Meyer capped the scoring with a 48-yard interception return in the fourth quarter.

The Ramblers outgained the Generals, 457-120 in total yards.

Miles picked up 90 yards on four catches while Cody Rape caught three passes for 81 yards. Justin Gilbreath led the ground attack with 46 yards on three carries.

LaFayette will have next week off before hosting Ringgold on Oct. 17.
