Gordon Lee splits at home

The Lady Trojans saw the Ringgold Lady Tigers get a measure of revenge for a loss to Gordon Lee earlier this season, but the Navy-and-White bounced back to hammer area foe Calhoun in a tri-match in Chickamauga on Tuesday.

Gordon Lee (12-2) fell to Ringgold, 25-23, 25-22, but rebounded with a 25-6, 25-10 thumping of the Lady Jackets.

Caroline Jewell had seven kills in the first match, while Alli O’Neal added seven aces. Rachel Darr had 16 digs, while Kayla Pierce had 12 assists against Ringgold.

Anna Dykes led the Lady Tigers with 10 kills and six blocks. Kendall Williams had eight kills and five blocks, while Michala Askew collected 17 asssists.

O'Neal finished with eight kills against Calhoun. Sara Holder had six aces, while Beth Kizziah and Mary Whiteman had six digs each.

Ringgold went on to defeat Calhoun, 25-23, 25-22, in the other match.

Williams had seven kills. Carly Grant had three kills and three aces, and Kelly Jones finished with eight aces for Ringgold (12-6).

Calhoun will return to Chickamauga on Thursday and will be joined by LFO as Area 6-A/AA play begins.
