Gordon Central hosts Rockmart in Week 3 of the high school football season on Friday.
Both teams’ offenses were explosive in their recent wins.
The Warriors are coming off a 34-19 win over Coosa in which quarterback Dre Prather carried the offense with 281 total yards, and four touchdowns. He rushed for two and passed for two.
Rockmart sophomore Kwame Peek led the Jackets’ offense with 64 rushing yards on nine carries, scoring two touchdowns on runs of 23 and 12 yards.
If Rockmart wins Friday’s game, it will be the first time the Jackets have been 3-0 since 2006. The last time the Warriors started the season 3-0 was in 2005.
This week’s game is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. in Calhoun.
