No. 2 Class AAA state-ranked Heritage remains perfect in the region following a 4-0 victory over visiting LaFayette on Thursday.

Marrissa Patteron tossed her second no-hitter of the season to extend the Generals’ record to 12-2 overall. The senior struck out eight batters and walked two.

Patterson said she wasn’t worried about her opponent coming into the game, despite LaFayette’s 3-1 record in the region. The Ramblers are now 9-5 overall following the loss.

Allie Hillis, Allison Vaughn, Brandy Goldsmith and lead-off batter/slapper Amber Burton combined for 10 hits.

Hillis was 3-for-3 for the evening. Her two-run double gave Heritage a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning.

Amber Burton was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
